Sounds Like Fun- Sounds Like Ridgemark Golf and Country Club!

     Chris Branon, head Golf Pro here at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club, used to be a headhunter in the Silicon Valley - until one day a job for a golf pro came across his desk. And the rest, as they say, is history! We're glad to have Chris on board as our head pro.

     As Chris is quick to point out, playing at Ridgemark is fun, friendly and serene, with great course conditions and rounds that are four hours, give or take.

     The golf course is right out in front of you, pretty self-explanatory. Our pace of play is brisk, at 4 hours give or take; members who know it better can run it in 3:30. We alternate the courses daily between member and daily play

     Our two, 18-hole courses were born out of one 18-hole course that was equally divided. The course are tucked between the mountains and foothills of the Gabilan and Diablo Ranges - namesakes for our courses and meeting at the Pinnacles National Monument.

     Gabilan is the longer of the two, with par-3's stretch to about 200 yards. This is more of our interior course, as it wraps more around homes. Gabilan features wide open fairways.

     #11, a par-4 with out of bounds left and hazard to the right off the tee, funnels into a bottleneck green. This is a very nice hole - one of the two most-challenging holes on Gabilan.

     On #12, you're hitting over a barranca onto a pretty lengthy par-3 into the prevailing wind.

     Gabilan is our most challenging course, partly because the par-3's stretch out to 200-plus yards

     Diablo is more the outside, scenic course.

     #7 is a par-5 where you hit off a hillside onto a landing area and over a barranca abut 595 yards. This is truly a great hole that many will remember as Diablo's most challenging.

     Diablo is the more of a scoring course, with a par-5 (#11) that's reachable in two for most people, and also a par-4 (#13) that's reachable in two.

     Our professional management team includes Jim Stark, Director of Golf Course and Grounds Maintenance, who takes great pride in the job he and his staff accomplish on the greens and fairways to keep us environmentally friendly, while providing an exceptional golfing experience throughout the year.

     Ridgemark Golf and Country Club has many active clubs (Men's, Women's, Couples and Women's 9 Hole) with a full slate of activities on the calendar.

Grass

• Fairways - Poa annua, ryegrass
• Tees - Poa annua, ryegrass and kikuyugrass
• Greens - 90% Poa annua, 10% bentgrass

     Both courses feature six sets of tees, including Junior tees that make both courses play to about 3,800 yards.

     Aerification with 5/8" plugs takes place in late winter and three or four more times throughout the season with barely-noticeable small tines and no interruption to play.

Everyone Wants to Take Credit for Our Weather, But it's All Due to the Man Upstairs!

     We are truly blessed, tucked in the mountains as we are. This is perhaps the best weather in California and, one could argue, the best on the planet!

     Our superb location affords us coastal breezes on an almost daily basis; we don't even have air conditioning! Weather-wise you can't beat this course year-round

     Ridgemark offers a home club membership for maintaining your NCGA Handicap and has many more value added components including range balls, discounts in the Golf Shop and reduced daily play fees.

Strong Youth Movement! Ridgemark is Devoted to Our Junior Program

     Our Junior program including our full support of the Youth On Course program, is very important to the success plan we've mapped out at Ridgemark. Our Junior program is an inexpensive way for kids to fall in love with this game that many of us older players hold close to our hearts.

Golf Rates and Fees

Golf Course Dress Code

• The wearing of denim jeans on the golf course is prohibited.
• Men's shirts with hemmed collars and sleeves are required. Golf shirts or blouses for women shall be in good taste (no tank tops, halter tops, etc.). Women's shirts without sleeves must display a collar and/or button down placket.
• Walking shorts are acceptable, but in no case shall golf skirts or shorts be shorter than mid-thigh (6-inch inseam). No short-shorts, spandex bike shorts, jogging outfits, or cut-offs will be permitted.
• Teaching shoes and tennis shoes are acceptable while playing the golf course. We are a soft spike facility.
• No coolers are allowed on the golf courses.
